Summer
Peak pressure. Hot, humid conditions intensify mosquitoes, roaches, spiders and wasps — especially near irrigated landscaping and shaded structures. This is when a mosquito program earns its keep and when stinging-insect nests appear under eaves. Summer's heat and moisture are exactly what most Tallahassee pests want.
Fall
The move indoors. As temperatures cool, rodents and roaches head inside seeking shelter, food and warmth — this is prime season for the first attic scratching or kitchen roach of the year. Spiders expand webs around entry points as insect prey concentrates near the house. Fall is the time to seal entry points before rodents find them.
Winter
No real break. Florida's mild winters mean termites and ants often stay active rather than going dormant, and rodents keep seeking stable indoor shelter. Pressure is lower than summer but never zero — which is the whole point.
